It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Saariaho Festival Den Haag. We have invited the internationally celebrated composer Kaija Saariaho to join us in the Hague for a three day festival presenting some of her greatest works.

For decades now her music has been regularly performed by the greatest musicians, orchestras and opera companies in the world. All of The Hague’s major musical institutions will join forces to give you the opportunity to experience one of new music’s most unusual and extraordinary voices. We all hope you will join us in October in discovering the astonishing beauty and poetic power of some of the most spellbinding music of our time!
